You know how we complain – on the internet – that people on the internet are only doing things because they’re asking for attention? Well, the need for attention actually comes from a deep need for affection. Kinda like children throwing tantrums because they want to be seen by their parents – being seen hopefully makes the parents realize that they need them. It goes the same with anyone else who isn’t a toddler – we want to be seen because we want the care. So, next time I judge someone or you judge someone because they’re asking for attention, take a moment to step back and approach this with a bit of empathy: this is a person who needs affection, who ultimately needs love. Which is never a bad thing.
