This is an orange silk Shantung kimono – Shantung is a textured type of fabric. It is quite a statement piece and can be either worn as a dress using its matching belt or as a cardigan over any outfit you choose creating two types of looks – casual or fancy – depending on your mood and where you are headed.
In spite of being made of pure silk, it is quite easy to care for – I have washed it once after sewing it in a gentle cycle at 30 degrees Celsius, but I do advise you to use a delicate detergent made for silk and other precious fabrics.
All my kimonos are highly adaptable to any body type, but just so you know, these are my measurements:
